Why Proof-of-Purchase?



Gifts are subject to tax obligations above a certain amount. This applies to the giver, not the shop operator. However, we offer the collection of recipient data as a service in the shop. This way, all recipients are generated via an Excel spreadsheet and subsequently forwarded to the accounting department, which represents an enormous relief in terms of workload.

How does the obligation to provide proof work?

If there are items in the shopping basket that require proof of delivery, an additional line is automatically displayed in the checkout for each item for entering the respective recipient (directly below the item position). If the customer already knows the recipients, they can enter them directly. It is now possible to generate the recipient data in the form of an Excel spreadsheet at any time.

Main and sub-users can be defined in the shop. In the frontend, under "My account", main users receive a list of all items ordered by the assigned sub-users that are subject to verification. This function enables the main user to obtain an overview of the use of advertising material or the personal details of the recipients in order to clearly recognise subsequent orders. For example, if a user orders 5 items for 50 euros and only enters 3 recipients, 2 more people must be added so that all uses can be verified. This usually has to be done by the end of the year for tax purposes. The export files generated from the shop can be opened and analysed in Excel.
