What is possible with the file upload?
The upload function lets you create many personalized items in one step. Instead of entering each personalization individually in the shop, you maintain all data in a single file (e.g. CSV) and upload it.
Typical use cases:
- Personalized products for multiple recipients at once (e.g. names, departments, locations)
- Several variants of one item in a single order (e.g. different texts or labels)
- Fast repeat orders by reusing existing files
Basic principle of bulk personalization
- Each row in the file usually represents one item or one personalization.
- The number of completed rows should match the number of personalized items in the shopping cart.
- Enter the required information in the designated columns, e.g.:
- Product / variant name
- Individual texts (e.g. name, role, department)
- Optional additional details such as language, location, department etc.
Write all texts without line breaks and without additional formatting.
Use capital letters only where they are explicitly intended.
Observe the maximum text length defined by the product design.
Use the provided template for each product type (e.g. CSV file from the download section).
Important: Save your file in the required format (usually CSV).
Step-by-step guide
1. Select product
In the shop, select the item to be personalized and add the desired quantity to your cart. If there are several variants (e.g. brands, languages or designs), make sure you choose the correct one.
2. Download CSV template
Click on the download link in the description of the respective item and save the predefined CSV file on your computer.
3. Enter data into the template
Open the predefined file in Excel. Enter all required data for each personalization line by line.
Then save the file again as a CSV file. We recommend using a clear file name, e.g.:
Personalization_ProductName_Campaign_Year.csv
4. Upload CSV file in the shop
Upload the completed CSV file via the button in the item view.
Only after a correctly completed file has been uploaded can your personalization be processed.
5. Data check & approval (if applicable)
Depending on the process, you will receive an automatic preview (e.g. as a PDF by e-mail) with the imported data after uploading. Carefully check all contents (names, spellings, assignments) and approve the personalization so that production can start.
